Product Description

Ferrosilicon electric furnaces are divided into reduction electric furnaces and refining electric furnaces. Reduction electric furnace, also known as submerged arc furnace or submerged arc furnace, adopts the submerged arc operation of inserting electrode into furnace charge. The reduction electric furnace has open, closed (or semi closed), and the furnace body has various forms such as fixation and rotation. Electric refining furnace is used to refine medium carbon, low carbon and micro carbon ferroalloys. The capacity of electric furnace is generally 1500 ~ 6000 KVA, which adopts the form of open fixing or tilting with cover. The former is similar to the reduction furnace and can be equipped with continuous self baking electrode; The latter is similar to electric arc steelmaking furnace, using graphite or carbon electrode.
1, Use of ferrosilicon
Ferrosilicon is an essential deoxidizer in steelmaking industry, and it is also added as alloying agent. In the steelmaking industry, about 3-5kg 75% ferrosilicon is consumed for every 1t of steel produced.

The bottom of the electric arc furnace is made of aluminum-magnesium spinel brick and magnesia-chrome brick; the interior is made of magnesia-chrome brick, the exterior is made of aluminum-magnesium spinel brick; the upper part is also made of ordinary magnesia-chrome brick.

How will we built it

Design plan and construction drawings

Design scheme: our company has a design company with first-class qualification, and the designer has 30 years of experience in kiln design. After the drawing is completed, three experts (civil engineer, construction engineer and operating engineer) will carry out the final review of the drawing to ensure that there will be no mistakes in the construction of the kiln.
Construction drawing: The dimensions of each place are marked on the construction drawing, and the name, size and quantity of the refractory used are marked. Any experienced construction worker can understand the drawings and follow the construction without any mistakes.

Evaluation and preparation of refractory materials

Lite offers a wide range of products for these types of furnaces, such as low cement castables, plastics refractories, gunning mix and insulation castables. 

 

Construction procedure

Lite recommends:
For each of the designs, the service life of the refractory is predictable. But the same design can change dramatically due to different operations. Therefore, some furnaces require continuous maintenance. Our maintenance products include gunning mix, ramming mass, low cement castables and etc.

Acceptance and trial

1.. Whether the expansion joint is filled with insulation material, and whether the closed hole should be closed tightly;
2.. Whether the sand sealing groove is added to the sand according to the regulations;
3. Whether the mechanical kiln door and the damper lift are flexible, and whether the closing is tight and airtight.
