Taking the 10 kV voltage level delayed power grid investment and construction project in Kazakhstan as an example, when a city's power line needs to be strengthened due to short-term load overload caused by daily peak hours, assuming that the duration of the daily line load exceeding 1.2 MW is 1 hour, the maximum daily load is 1.4 MW, exceeding the transmission capacity of the line by 0.2 MW, energy storage equipment is preferred as a backup power source.
Line renovation plan: Currently, the peak load of 0.2 MW needs to be solved. Based on the expansion of one 2 km 10 kV cable and two distribution transformers, the annual operation and maintenance cost of the distribution network is considered at 1% of the initial investment. The static investment for project construction is about 320000USD
Traditional 110kV, 275kV, and 400kV substations are mainly designed and installed outdoors, occupying a large area, and the equipment is prone to corrosion, especially in high pollution areas, which can easily cause pollution flashover accidents.
Compared with ordinary substations (European transformer substation) with the same function, this substation with double-layer and double transformers structure has a 41% reduction in floor area and a 42% reduction in land resource occupation. The product is small in size and light in weight. The installation and transportation costs are reduced by 50%.

Tianjin hode Electric Co., Ltd. undertakes the upgrade and renovation project of electric furnace transformers. The three electric stone furnaces at the SEVEN chemical plant in the Philippines have changed the capacity of one transformer from 10MVA to 16.5MVA, and the daily output has increased from 60t to over 100t. Comparing his steelmaking electric arc furnace with a nominal capacity of 10 tons and an actual loading capacity of over 20 tons, the melting period is 110-120 minutes when the transformer capacity is 5MVA, and 55-60 minutes when the transformer capacity is 9MVA.
The XUXE factory in Kyrgyzstan tested a 4MVA transformer on a 1.5t steelmaking electric arc furnace, achieving the goal of refining one furnace of steel in 1 hour. However, other processes could not keep up and the labor intensity of workers was too high. Therefore, a 1.2MVA transformer was still used, and an additional furnace of steel was refined in 2 hours.
The project undertaken by Tianjin hode Electric Co., Ltd. includes the integration of a new wind and solar system with a set of converter and boost systems, including 1250kW PCS and supporting transformers. The complete equipment has external communication functions, including RS485, TCP/IP Ethernet, and dry contact interfaces. The high-voltage output voltage is 10kV. The PCS system adopts intelligent forced air cooling for heat dissipation, allowing long-term operation under 110% overload at an ambient temperature of 45 ºC and reduced rated operation at an ambient temperature of 50 ºC. In addition to the control function of switching normal loads, the incoming and outgoing lines should also have basic protection functions for abnormal tripping such as overcurrent and overload.
The new photovoltaic energy storage PCS boost integrated machine has intelligent forced air cooling function and a wide temperature range of -30 ºC -60 ºC. It can operate at full load in an environment of 50 ºC; Adopting IP55 protection design, supporting high and low voltage ride through, it can easily cope with various complex application environments such as extreme temperature and high humidity.
